funeral dinners. She needs more captains.
Barb McAdam, Family Concerns

Janice W
reminded Commission Officers that the activity hours should be on their report
that they give secretary, if they are not please submit them.
Unfinished Business:
LThank you to Dolly Morrison and
Arlene Johnson for chairing the Spaghetti Dinner. It was wonderful. They
cleared $754.83. Supporters from all three chapels were in attendance.
Thank you to the Sisters of the Eucharist for our Spiritual Social on
March 23. Mother Janice Otis and Sister Paul Mary Dreger gave the Lenten
spiritual and spoke of the Divine Mercy Devotion. Afterwards we spent time
visiting the Sisters. Thanks to Louanna and Diane Diehl for chairing this
social, and distributing the holy cards of the Passion of Christ.
I
updated ladies on the Lenten project "American Soldier". I am going to collect
letters through April. I had hoped for more of a response, but am thankful for
the letters I have received. I will send my package out May 1, offering words
of encouragement from Idaho.
Thanks to Louanna and Janice B for setting
up the lunch for the Building Task Force, Parish Council and Finance Council
Retreat on Saturday.
Thank you to the ladies who attend the Eastern
Deanery Spring meeting in Idaho Falls. It was great visiting with the IF
ladies. The program was on safety and presented by Officer John Marley of the
IF Police Department.
Thank you to everyone who has helped with
refreshments for St. Johns. There will be one more in anyone can help. Diane
Diehl and Barb McAdam have offered to help Louanna with snacks. It was asked if
we would like to continue on with this event next year. Barbara McAdam
made a motion to continue to provide refreshments to St. John's students the
2nd Sunday of each month. Mary Kay Molitor seconded the motion. The voting was
unanimous in the affirmative.
Our April Social will be April 27 at 7
pm and it will be a tea in honor of Our Lady of Good Counsel. Please bring your
special dessert and spend an evening visiting and honoring our Blessed Mother.
Prizes will be given for the best hats. Hope to see you there!
New
Business:
Bishop Mike will perform the Prison Mass on May 20. HSCCW
will make the stoles for their Confirmation. Mary Kay will Chair this project.
Barbara McAdam made a motion for our HSCCW to make the Confirmation
Stoles the candidates will wear. Mary Kay Molitor seconded the motion and the
voting was unanimous in the affirmative.
After some discussion on
what price should be given towards the First Communion Class gifts it was
decided for this year that we go ahead and pay for full invoice, and it be
known by a card that the HSCCW provided the gifts for the First Communion Class
of 39 children, with this in mind the following motion was
made: Christine Hofman made a motion that our HSCCW pay the full price
for gifts of $128.96. Diane Diehl seconded the motion. There were two no votes,
but the motion carries with the majority vote.
Thank you to Barbara
Santos, Nancy Davis-Historian for providing pictures and Janice B for putting
our HSCCW online at www.bannockcatholic.net.
There was no Deanery report
tonight.
Ladies are needed to help with the Easter Vigil, First
Communion and Confirmation receptions. Irene Schlader is the Chair for
Confirmation receptions.
The Women's Retreat scheduled for April 22 has
been cancelled. The Sisters have a visiting Sister from Assisi, Italy and she
would like to speak on St. Francis of Assisi and St. Clare. They asked that the
women attend this presentation on Sunday, April 23 at 7:00 pm at St. Paul's
Chapel. They were sorry for the inconvenience.
The ICCW Retreat is June
2-4, Friday-Sunday. We will go to Northern Idaho and we will visit the Cataldo
mission and St. Gertrude. We will travel Thursday night to Jerome and stay at
Sharon Whitchurch's home, and leave at 6 am on Friday morning, picking up women
along the way. The cost is approximately $145 and dateline to register is May
1.
We will be accepting dues for the next year (2006-2007) at the May
11 meeting until August 18 for who want to be included in the program book.
Dues are $12 for the year. Envelopes will be included in the May newsletter and
you can put them in the collection baskets or mail them to Rita Collins.
May 25 is our Couple's Hawaiian Luau. Please bring your husband or a
friend. After some discussion it was determined that we have a potluck, instead
of a cover charge. Diane Diehl will bring and cook the
pork.
