Church Property Update
Last month the Holy Spirit Pastoral Council, Finance Council and
Building Task Force requested permission from the Diocese to acquire property
on Gathe Road (just off Kraft Rd. and the North Main Extension) for us to build
a new church and school.
On February 27, the Diocesan Finance Council
gave their approval to continue pursuing the purchase of this property. We will
then buy back from the diocese the acres that we use for development. The plan
is that the purchase will be completed on the scheduled closing date of April
15. This piece of land is the only property that is being looked at as the site
for our new Church.

This property has several attractive features:
- It is located relatively close to all three existing chapels (within ten minutes of each).
- There is sufficient acreage on which to build a Church, Social hall, Religious Education classrooms, Office space, School, playground and sufficient Parking.
- It is in a relatively low traffic area.
- The price is reasonable.
We hope that soon we will be able to announce that the property is ours. This is an exciting time for the parish and we're glad to be making progress!
