Catholic Education is a unique alternative to the public and private systems of education. From the very beginning, students in our Preschool Program are taught that they are wanted at Holy Spirit Catholic School, accepted because they are a creation of God and part of the human family, and loved because they are gifted by God who makes each creature a unique being. The education process is not accomplished in isolation. It is initiated, promoted, and performed in concert with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and concerned people.

Students live in this world with other people and need to follow rules and regulations that govern behavior. Codes of performance are established and explained to the students. As a part of the Catholic School community, students learn that order is necessary for them to accomplish the tasks of education. Students learn that they must also discipline themselves so they can achieve their own goals. One emphasis is on teaching each student how to become a contributing member of the community by wisely using their own special talents and gifts for the mutual benefit of society.

Our primary concern is the needs of our students and the means whereby to meet those needs. To achieve success in these endeavors, it is essential that we have a united effort among students, parents, teachers, and administrators. Pledging our mutual support and asking God to bless and guide us, we will continue to strive for quality education at Holy Spirit Catholic School.

Please feel free to contact our school with any further questions you may have. Our doors are always open, so please feel free to visit our school.

Sincerely in Christ,

Holy Spirit Catholic School
Faculty, Principal and School Board

Tradition of Excellence

HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC SCHOOL formerly St. Anthony Catholic Community School, has been helping to develop the minds and hearts of its students since 1951. This rich legacy of caring for our children through a sound Catholic education has resulted in hundreds of well rounded, productive men and women.

Although our school has been underutilized in the past, we are proud to say that today our classrooms are filling up, with waiting lists for several grades. This is a real testimony to the dedication of our teachers, administrators and parents who help in so many ways. We offer a Three Year Old Pre-school three days a week, two half day sessions of Four Year Old Pre-School, a Full Day Kindergarten, and grades one through six. We also offer on-site Child Care for younger siblings of students, plus Before and After School Programs.

School Philosophy

The goal of our school is to help each student develop to their fullest potential. Academic excellence, coupled with spiritual growth, is our priority. We believe in emphasizing the “6 R’S”: Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Responsibility, Respect and Religion. Our curriculum also includes Social Studies, Language Arts, Foreign Language, Science, Music, Art, P.E. and Health.

The Challenge of the Future

Parochial schools like Holy Spirit are one of the few alternatives to public education available to our community's children. We believe the reinforcement of Christian values within the school environment is essential in strengthening the ethical codes parents instill in their children at home. Our mission, as we head into the 21st Century, is to ensure the religious and scholastic development of tomorrow's Christian leaders.
