Many of you will recognize Mrs.
Corgiat from her many activities in the church and school community, as well as
her civic involvement.
Mrs. Corgiat was born and reared in Los Angeles.
She graduated from Idaho State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Elementary Education, and is working on her Master's Degree. She
joined the staff of Holy Spirit Catholic School to teach 2nd grade in 1996.
Mrs. Corgiat earned the State of Idaho Comprehensive Literacy Certification, as
well as the Idaho Technology Certification. Mrs. Corgiat has been an active
board member of the Southeast Idaho Reading Council for many years, currently
serving as president. She is also a member of the International Reading
Association.
Mrs. Corgiat's other community involvement includes: board
member and current Treasurer of the Bellow Visiting Author Conference; member
of Alpha Delta Kappa International Honor Sorority for Women Educators;
coordinating committee member for the annual Young Author's Conference;
lifetime membership affiliation with the Bannock Humane Society; and volunteer
coordinator of the Pocatello Animal Shelter's annual "Run with the Big Dogs"
5k/10k run. She also serves as Eucharistic Minister and Lector for the Holy
Spirit Catholic Community. Her son recently graduated from the University of
Utah. She enjoys reading, aerobics, running, ceramics, and of course KIDS!!
The school board, faculty, staff, parents and students of Holy Spirit
Catholic School are very excited about having Mrs. Corgiat as the school
principal. The school board is very confident in Mrs. Corgiat's leadership and
her ability to continue the school's history of academic excellence and
spiritual growth. |
