 SHAUNTEL MARK 3 Year
Preschool & Child Care Services Director

Miss Shauntel was born and raised in Pocatello.
She received her Child Development Certification, with honor, from ISU. She
also holds a National CDA Preschool Endorsement Certificate and is certified in
CPR and First Aid. Miss Shauntel managed 2 other childcare centers before
coming to Holy Spirit in 1994 to be our Child Care Services Director. Miss
Shauntel teaches our 3 Year Preschool program. She is involved in PAEYC and
NAEYC and has been a presenter at the Early Childhood Conference. Miss Shauntel
is married and lives in McCammon with her husband and step children. |
 LISA BRIAN Child Care
Supervisor
|
Miss Lisa was born and raised in Blackfoot. She
has lived in Pocatello for 12 years and she is the mother of three children,
all attending Holy Spirit. She came to work for Holy Spirit in 1999 and worked
her way to Supervisor. She is currently working on her Bachelor of Arts degree
in Education at ISU and she is on the Dean's List. She is licensed through the
City of Pocatello as a Child Care Teacher, and is First Aid and CPR certified.
Lisa is also a member of the National Forensic League. When not at work or
school, Lisa enjoys her family, singing, and crafts. |
 CINDI HYSELL 4 Year

Born in Southern California, Miss Cindi has
lived in Idaho for over 20 years. She attended ISU and received certification
in Child Development Education, with honors. She also has obtained a National
CDA Preschool Endorsement Credential. She is certified in CPR and First Aid.
Miss Cindi started the childcare and after school program at Holy Spirit in
1990, and has been teaching the 4 Year Preschool since 1991. She is a member of
PAEYC and NAEYC. She has been involved with CCD and CYO. Cindi is currently the
Past Youth Coordinator for the Eastern Deanery, and the Youth and Young Adult
Rep for the Diocesan Pastoral Council. Miss Cindi has presented workshops at
the Early Childhood Conference in Pocatello. She is married and has three grown
children. |

 SHANNON THOMAS Kindergarten
|
Born and raised in Tacoma, WA, Shannon moved to
Pocatello several years ago. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in
Education in 1995 from Washington State University. She currently holds
endorsements in English and History. After graduation, Shannon was a substitute
teacher for two years before taking a year off to spend with her family. She
joined Holy Spirit Catholic School first as a Teacher's Aide, then a Title I
Aide, when finally she became a full time Kindergarten Teacher in November,
2003. Mrs. Thomas most enjoys going to Disneyland with her husband and three
girls. |
 JEANETTE BETTY 1st

Born and raised in Pocatello, Jeanette graduated
from ISU in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. After graduation, Mrs.
Betty was a substitute teacher with Pocatello School District #25. Mrs. Betty
started with Holy Spirit as a substitute teacher, often serving as a long-term
substitute. Next, she held the Title I Reading Aide position, and then became a
full time First Grade teacher for the 2003/2004 school year. Since graduating
from college, Jeanette has completed her Idaho Technology Portfolio Assessment,
Albertson Teaching with Technology Course, and the State of Idaho Comprehensive
Literacy Certification. When Mrs. Betty is not busy with her 2 daughters and
young son she has taught CCD, CYO, RCIA and Vacation Bible School and serves as
a Eucharistic Minister. |
 NANCY CORGIAT 2nd
Grade

Born and reared in Los Angeles, Mrs. Corgiat
has lived in Idaho for many years. She graduated from ISU in 1994 with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She joined our staff to
teach second grade in 1996. Mrs. Corgiat has been an active board member of the
Southeast Idaho Reading Council and is a member of the International Reading
Association. Other community involvement includes: Visiting Author Conference;
member of Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Sorority for Women
Educators; Young Author's Conference; and affiliation with The Bannock Humane
Society. Mrs. Corgiat earned her State of Idaho Comprehensive Literacy
Certification. She also serves as Eucharistic Minister and Lector for Holy
Spirit Catholic Community. Her adult son is currently attending college in Salt
Lake City. She enjoys reading, aerobics, running and ceramics. |
 DEBBY BELCHER 3rd
Grade

Mrs. Belcher is an Idaho native. She earned
a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education in 1990 from ISU. She was a
substitute teacher for School District #25 before coming to our school to teach
3rd grade in 1990. She was nominated for Who's Who Among Teachers in 1990 and
1999. Mrs. Belcher is a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, PAYEC and the Idaho
Reading Council. She is a Certified Catechist and serves as a Eucharistic
Minister for Holy Spirit Catholic Community. Mrs. Belcher earned the State of
Idaho Technology Certification in the spring of 2000, and the State of Idaho
Comprehensive Literacy Certification. Mrs. Belcher has raised four children and
lives with her husband, Tom. |
 MEG DOWNEY Co-Teacher 4th Grade

A Montana native, Mrs. Downey has lived in Idaho
for over 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Montana
State University in 1982. She graduated with honors specializing in Elementary
and Special Education with an Endorsement in Reading . She taught 3rd grade at
Holy Spirit (then St. Anthonys) from 1986 to 1989. In 1995, she accepted
a Special Ed position with School District #25 where she taught until June
2000. During the 2000/2001 school year, Mrs. Downey taught at Wilcox Elementary
School before returning to Holy Spirit to teach 4th grade. All four of her
children have graduated from our school and she has been active in Parent
Teacher Club, School Board, and many fund raising events. She is an active
member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community and has been involved in CCW and
is a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoys skiing, hiking, horseback riding and
crafts. |
 MARGIE NEY
GABIOLA Co-Teacher 4th Grade

Born in Lewiston, Mrs. Gabiola graduated in
1996 from the University of Idaho, with honors, with a B.S. degree in
Elementary Education. She then pursued and received her Master's degree in
Literacy of Edcuation in 2001. She was selected as 1of the 26 Outstanding
Elementary Education Students. Margie joined our staff in 1998. She has
taught 4th through 7th grade students. Mrs. Gabiola has earned the State of
Idaho Technology Certification. In the spring of 1999, Mrs. Gabiola wrote and
received a grant from the National Catholic Education Association for new books
for our school and later presented a workshop at their Conference in Baltimore,
MD. She also is the Liturgical Liaison for the school masses. Mrs. Gabiola has
three children and is active in the Music Ministry at Holy Spirit Catholic
Community. |
 DEBRA REAMS 5th Grade

Mrs. Reams was born and raised in
California. She graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Library Science. Mrs. Reams
started her teaching career at St Anthonys in the 1980s. Mrs. Reams
then took some time off from teaching to care for her children. Upon returning
to the work force, Mrs. Reams has been a School District #25 Reading Aid,
Substitute Teacher and taught CCD. Returning to our school in 1993, she has
taught 5th, 6th and 7th grades. She serves the Holy Spirit Catholic Community
as a Eucharistic Minister. She currently lives with her dog, Gaea. |
 MEGAN ALMY 6th Grade

Megan grew up in Seattle , where she
attended Catholic schools for all her years K12. She earned her Bachelor
of Arts degree in History at Whitman College. Megan was an Americorps Literacy
kindergarten tutor in Walla Walla in 2001/2002. From there, she went on to
pursue her Masters in Teaching-Elementary Education in 2004 at the
University of Washington. She did her student teaching at the Bush School with
the third grade. She moved here last year with her husband who is pursuing his
degree at ISU. Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband,
reading, and getting to know Idaho. |

SEAN
KANE P.E. |
Sean has lived in Pocatello all of his
life. He graduated from Pocatello High School in June 2000. While attending
Idaho State University , he volunteered at church camp, CYO activities, and
deanery activities. Sean is very active with the Catholic youth in Pocatello .
He was on the planning committee for many youth retreats. In 2004, he co-taught
classes fro confirmation. He graduated from Idaho State University with a
degree in secondary education in May 2005. He is currently working with the
deanery planning retreats and teaching classes from confirmation. Sean is in
second year as the assistant tennis coach at Highland High School . In his
spare time; Sean enjoys tennis, basketball, snowboarding, and playing guitar.

DIANA SHIPLEY
Music |
Mrs. Shipley earned her Bachelor of Arts
degree in Music Education at ISU in 2002. She has been teaching music at both
PocatelloCommunityCharter School and Holy Spirit for a few years now. She has
been a great addition to the Holy Spirit staff, with the children and parents
really enjoying the choral presentations that Mrs. Shipley has them perform
twice per year. Mrs. Shipley also plays music in a band and she loves working
with children. In her spare time, Mrs. Shipley enjoys the outdoors with her
husband and sons, as well as artistic applications such as making baskets and
tile mosaics. |
